Friends since meeting at the Houston Quilt Market, Becky (Patchwork Posse) and Stacey (Stacey Lee Creative) are teaming up to design your perfect quilting getaway. 

Together, they bring a blend of fun, creativity, and quilting expertise, making this retreat experience truly special.


Becky of Patchwork Posse, a vibrant online community for quilters of all skill levels. 

With a passion for helping quilters finish what they start and make the most of their fabric stash, Becky shares easy-to-follow patterns, tutorials, and inspiration on her website. 

Her friendly, approachable style has drawn quilters worldwide to connect, learn, and create together. 

Whether hosting online quilt groups or designing playful, classic quilt patterns, Becky is dedicated to making quilting a joyful and rewarding experience for everyone.


Stacey of Stacey Lee Creative is a passionate YouTuber and quilting educator with a knack for making quilting accessible and fun for everyone. 
Known for her motto, “A finished quilt is a perfect quilt,” Stacey encourages quilters to embrace the joy of creating, no matter their skill level. 
She leads an annual charity event called the Quilt Donation Drive, which is dedicated to providing quilts for children in foster care. 
At the retreat, Stacey looks forward to sharing her love of quilting, inspiring new ideas, and building friendships within the quilting community.

The center features 12 cozy bedrooms, each with its own private shower bathroom, and even a fully ADA-compliant room to ensure everyone feels welcome. 


The spacious, light-filled sewing studio boasts over 1800 sq. ft., complete with floor electrical plugs, ample cutting and ironing stations, and design walls to make every project a joy. 


Enjoy deluxe sewing chairs for all-day comfort, free WiFi throughout, and a cozy den for quiet moments. Step outside to the covered patio overlooking a serene water feature—a perfect spot to relax, refresh, and take in the peaceful surroundings.

About the Location

Location: Our retreat takes place at Stitchin' Heaven in charming Quitman, Texas. Nestled in the scenic East Texas countryside, Quitman is known for its relaxed, small-town charm and beautiful surroundings. 
*For those flying in, the nearest airport is Tyler Pounds Regional Airport, about 40 minutes away, or Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), approximately two hours away. We recommend arranging transportation from the airport in advance to ensure a smooth arrival.

The Ideal Setting: The spacious 1800 sq ft studio at Stitchin' Heaven includes floor outlets, abundant natural light, and ergonomic chairs. The studio is equipped with ample cutting and ironing stations, as well as design walls—everything needed for a seamless quilting experience. Take breaks in the cozy den or on the covered patio with serene water views, all set against the peaceful East Texas backdrop. 

Shared Rooms: Rooms are shared, each with two twin beds and a private bathroom. Bringing a friend? Just mention their name when you register, and we’ll make sure you’re roomed together! Coming solo? No worries—most attendees join on their own and leave with new quilting friendships. 

Kitchen Access: Feel free to bring your favorite snacks or treats to share with the group! If you have dietary needs, you’re welcome to bring any specific items you require. You’ll have access to a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, stove, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher—everything you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient.

    Refund Policy - Due to the unique and tailored nature of this event, planned well in advance for each guest, all deposits and payments are final, and there are no refunds. You can find a replacement and sell your spot if you cannot attend. If we have someone on our waiting list, we’ll gladly offer them your spot. 


    Cancellation Policy - If the minimum number of participants isn’t met, we reserve the right to cancel the retreat up to six weeks before the start date, in which case a full refund will be provided.

      Accommodation: 5 days / 4 nights in shared rooms with two twin beds and a private bathroom. Designed for relaxation and a good night's sleep.  Bring a friend or come solo -new friendships await!

      All Meals & Snacks Provided: Enjoy delicious brunches, dinners, and snacks throughout your stay, with access to a fully equipped kitchen if you have special dietary needs. Relax and focus on quilting while we take care of the food and refreshments. There will be a snack table - so please bring your favorite to add to the yummy share area!

      Snack Table Fun: Bring your favorite snack to share with the group, and enjoy a variety of treats throughout the retreat. Stacey will even bring some delicious New Zealand goodies for everyone to try!

      Guidance from Two Hosts: With two experienced quilting hosts, friendly help is always nearby for advice, tips, or a second opinion when you need it.

      FAQ's

      • When should I arrive and fly into?
        Our Retreat runs from checking in Wednesday, March 19, 2025 after 4PM to Checkout on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 11am.
        If you are flying in, you'll want to fly into Dallas. When making travel arrangements, it is best to plan to attend the full Retreat so you don't miss any of the special planned experiences.
      • What's included when I register?
        Everything — You simply arrive via your own transportation, and we take care of the rest! Your room, food and drinks and all content, events and experiences... are included.
        The retreat center is next door to the largest quilt shop in Texas - so you may want to bring some extra spending $$ for fun shopping!
      • Who will I be rooming with?
        All bedrooms are shared, featuring 2 twin beds and a private bathroom. Bringing a friend? Great! Just include each other’s names on your registration, and we’ll make sure you’re roomed together. Coming solo? No worries—most attendees come on their own too!
        This is your chance to connect with fellow quilters and make new friendships that will last long after the retreat. We’ll thoughtfully pair you with a roommate and share their name ahead of time so you can introduce yourselves before the fun begins.
      • What do I need to pack?
        You’ll receive a detailed retreat packet in early February with everything you need to know, including a comprehensive packing list. Stitchin' Heaven provides unlimited access to a spacious, well-lit sewing studio equipped with tables for cutting, ironing boards and irons, sewing tables with electrical outlets, and a fully equipped kitchen. You’ll also enjoy a super comfy bed with linens and towels provided.
        Need a sewing machine? Rentals are available—just let us know in advance so we can reserve one for you!
      • Will I even get to sew and chat with Becky and Stacey?
        YES! Many quilting events promise expert guidance, but with large crowds and limited class hours, it’s easy to feel like just another face in the room. That’s not how the Gather & Stitch Retreat works!
        With Becky and Stacey as your hosts, you’ll have the unique opportunity to connect 1:1 with two talented quilters who are there to answer your questions, offer advice, and share their expertise.
        PLUS—there will be plenty of exclusive opportunities to bond, share stories, and enjoy some fun “girl chat” time in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere!
      • What's the refund policy? Is this Transferable?
        Given the personalized planning and preparation that goes into this intimate event, all deposits and payments are non-refundable. Each guest's experience is carefully tailored well in advance to ensure a memorable retreat for everyone.
        If your plans change and you’re unable to attend the Gather & Stitch Retreat, you’re welcome to transfer or sell your ticket to another person. Please contact Becky or Stacey to connect with someone on the waiting list who may be interested. All ticket transfers made outside of the retreat organizers are the responsibility of the ticket holder.
      • What skill level is this for?
        The retreat is open to quilters of all levels! Whether you're a beginner or experienced, there's something for everyone.
      • What's the schedule for the weekend?
        The weekend will include plenty of sewing time, make-and-take sessions, the block party, and opportunities to relax and socialize. A full schedule will be provided before the retreat.
      • Do I need to bring my own fabric and supplies?
        Yes, please bring everything you'll need for your projects. Some supplies may be provided for the make-and-take sessions.
      • Do I have to participate in the Quilt Donation Drive or make-and-take projects?
        Not at all! While we encourage participation, you're welcome to spend the weekend sewing your own projects and enjoying the retreat your way.
      • What if I've never been to a quilting retreat before?
        No problem at all! This retreat is designed to be relaxing and welcoming, making it the perfect place for quilters of all levels to connect, create, and have a great time.
        Whether you're a seasoned retreat-goer or it's your first time, you'll feel right at home!
      • Can I share my quilt progress at the retreat?
        Absolutely! We love seeing what everyone is working on. There will be opportunities to show off your progress and celebrate your work with the group.
      • Will there be group photo opportunities?
        Yes! We'll make time for group photos to capture all the fun memories of the retreat.
      • What should I wear?
        Feel free to quilt in your jammies, rock your favorite comfy clothes (threads and all), or even dress up a little fancy if that's your style.
        And don't forget your slippers for ultimate retreat coziness!
